Kappacher Hütte

The Kappacher Chalet is very quiet in idyllical location, near the forest edge. The chalet has place for four people. The back of mountain from "Goell", keeps away the daily routine and the worries. The festival city "Salzburg" is only 21 kilometer away. Far from city turbulences, the Kappacher chalet offers, solitude and absolute silence.
The next village is "Bad Vigaun" and 6 kilometer away. In "Bad Vigaun" you will find supermarkets and other shopping facilities. The next restaurant is 2 kilometers away from the chalet.
The chalet is reachable the whole year by car. Parking spaces are in front of the chalet. The Kappacher chalet has a minimum stay of three nights. For other booking request, please contact our staff in the booking office. Pets are welcome.

Only in a few minutes drive, are some ski resorts reachable: Ski resort "Bad Duerrnberg" 15 km, "Krispel" 17 km, "Gaissau-Hintersee" 21 km or "Rossfeld" 23km. Also the big ski resorts like "Flachau", "St. Johann" or "Bischofshofen" are reachable by train from the railway station Bad Vigaun.
Backcountry skiers can start the tour direct by the chalet. There is a choice between two interesting tours on the "Schlenkenberg" or the "Zinken". When it is to cold for openair sports, you can take a warm bath in the thermal bath "Bad Vigaun" or the "Watzmann" thermal bath in Berchtesgaden. In Koenigsleben, Abtenau or Werfenberg is a floodlit toboggan run.

You can start your trekking tours, direct from the chalet. During a walk, you can load up your batteries. Near the chalet are two via ferrata`s. So climber can yourselves run riot. On hot summer days you have four opportunities to cool down: The "Taugl-river", the "Buergau-lake" in Kuchl, the "Wiestal-artificial lake" or the "Eisriesenwelt".
For other free time activities you can to attend the summer toboggan run in Keltenblitz Bad Duerrnberg, the water garden and the zoo in Hellbrunn. Also in Bad Duerrnberg is a salt mine.
