The Achberghütte situated ind sunny and quiet location, on a large meadow in the Unkner Saalachtal directly on the Saalach mountain river. Built from old and new local materials, the cabin breathes local history from every pore. The facade and many of the furniture are made of rare oak wood. All interior doors are unique pieces, many over a hundred years old.
It is only a five-minute walk to the town center of Unken with bakeries, butchers, restaurants and a supermarket. Unken im Pinzgau is a small community with around 2,000 inhabitants in the Salzburger Land. The Saalachtal has a lot to offer not only in winter but also in summer.
The Achberghütte can be reached by car all year round. There are parking spaces directly by the cabin.

The family ski lift and ski school of the Unken/Heutal at 1,000 meters above sea level are only 8 kilometers away from the Achberghütte.
