Götschlhütte

Sunny, quiet, secluded and a fantastic view of the Klippitzthörl and the Saualpe up to the Karawanken - that's what the Götschlhütte offers you. The only three-year-old Almhouse scores with modern comfort in conjunction with rustic cosiness. The large garden invites you to relax but also to romp around. The Götschlhütte is in winter and in summer a perfect holiday destination for those seeking relaxation and for nature lovers. The closest restaurants and grocery stores are in Bad St. Leonhard, 8 km away. The Götschlhütte can be reached by car all year round, in winter chains are required. Parking is available directly in front of the house. In the Götschlhütte a pet is welcome.

The gentle Alpine ridge of Saualpe extends in a north-south direction running from Klippitztörl to the Drau valley. The Saualpe is characterized by round rock formations and again and again one finds small waterfalls, which are known in the area under the name "sea eyes". The area itself is still one of the most largely natural landscapes and is rather little visited, although it has beautiful hiking trails such as the "Eisenwurzenweg 08", the Lavanttaler mountain trail and many rewarding peaks. South and not far from the Saualpe are the ruins of Magdalensberg and the imposing castle Hochosterwitz which are popular destinations.

The largest and at the same time closest skiing area is the ski region Klippitztörl. This is about 30 minutes drive from the cottage.
