The cozy and rustic Achthütte is located a few kilometers from Großarl. The Achthütte was built in the middle of nature and is therefore the ideal holiday cabin for those seeking peace and quiet. The cabin is surrounded by alpine pastures and meadows. The property offers a great view of the surrounding Salzburg mountains.
The nearest shops are in Großarl, five kilometers away. The town of Großarl has around 4,000 inhabitants and is considered the center of the Großarltal. St. Johann im Pongau is suitable for larger shopping trips. St. Johann im Pongau is approx. 20 kilometers away from the Achthütte. There are many cafes, shops and restaurants in St. Johann im Pongau.
The Achthütte can be reached by car all year round. Snow chains are absolutely necessary for arrival in winter! Parking spaces are available directly by the cabin. In winter the car can be stored in the barn. Two pets are welcome to travel with you.
The Achthütte and the Achtchalet are right next to each other and can be rented for larger groups upon request. Further information can be found in our call center.

The ski resort Grossarl/Dorfgastein (Ski Amadé) is the perfect area for skiers and snowboarders. Also tourers and cross-country skiers to have enough opportunities. From the "Achthuette" to the next ski lift and ski school are only 5 km. The next ski bus stop is 1 km away.

For children is a special entertainment program, the „Rucki Zuckis Gaudi-Alm“.
For family getaways you can visit castle "Hohenwerfen" with bird of prey demonstration or the national park "Huettschlag".
