Achtchalet

The rustic and newly renovated Achtchalet is situated in quiet and idyllic location at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level with a wonderful view of the Salzburg mountains. Surrounded by alpine pastures and meadows, the Achtchalet is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. The nearest town is Großarl and is only five kilometers from the chalet away. Here you will find shopping opportunities, restaurants and cafés. The next larger town is St. Johann im Pongau and can be reached in 20 kilometers. The Achtchalet can be reached by car all year round. Snow chains are absolutely necessary for arrival in winter! Parking spaces are available directly by the cabin. A dog is welcome to travel with you.
The Achtchalet and the Achthütte are right next to each other and can be rented for larger groups upon request. For further information contact a call center.

Not only skiers and snowboarders but also tourers and cross-country skiers get their money's worth in the Großarl/Dorfgastein ski area - "Ski Amadé". You have the option of starting on touring skis directly from the Achtchalet. It is only five kilometers from the chalet to the next ski lift and the ski school at the valley ski station. The next ski bus stop is one kilometer away.

The Loosbühelalm is open all year round and is therefore a great hiking destination in winter, both on touring skis and on foot, as there is an illuminated toboggan run up to the huts. You can walk directly from Acht (approx. 1.5 hours) or take a taxi up there. Snowshoe hikes are also offered.

In Grossarl, the “Valley of Alpine pastures”, there are unlimited hiking opportunities in summer. There are over 250 kilometers of marked hiking trails with over 40 managed alpine pastures. The tourism association also offers guided hikes. The via ferrata through the Hüttschlager Wand in Hüttschlag is ideal for demanding and experienced hikers. This via ferrata has a height of 210 meters to overcome.
